STATION 8‐1: 3506 Shincke Road NE. This is the headquarters firestation for the District. It houses the general offices of District personnel, has sleeper accommodations for six and is used for classroom training and public meetings. The facility was built in 1996. Units assigned to this firestation include one Type 1 engine, one Type 2 tender, one Type 6 wild‐land engine and one BLS rescue unit. It was designed to provide shelter to members and the public in the event of a local catastrophe, with emergency electrical supply and water supply. This firestation replaced the original firestation located at 3349 South Bay Rd NE which was first constructed in 1954.
Station 8‐2: 8100 Johnson Point Rd NE. This firestation was first built in 1965 and remodeled several times since. It houses one Type 1 engine, one BLS rescue unit and the District’s first engine, a 1954 International‐Howard Cooper.
Station 8-3: 5046 Boston Harbor Rd NE. This is our 2nd staffed firestation. It was the main headquarters for North Olympia prior to the merge.
Station 8‐6: 5912 Puget Beach Rd NE. This firestation was built in 1980. Units assigned to this firestation include one Type 1 engine, one Type 2 tender.
